Siegmar Ahlvers lives in the cosmopolitan city of Hanover, Germany, and as an artist, he views the world as a work of art. He is convinced that where spirit and spirituality interact, something new, beautiful, and impressive emerges.
During his professional career, Siegmar traveled the world as an engineer, particularly in the tire industry, where he met and appreciated a variety of interesting people, countries, and cultures. Art actively accompanied him on his vacations, where he repeatedly captured his impressions in small works of art.

Siegmar in seinem Atelier
As an autodidact, he continues to develop his abstract style and directs the viewer's gaze to phenomena, structures, energies, and emotional messages that the world has in store for us.
For Siegmar, Salvator Dali represents a perfectionist who, with his precise craftsmanship and fantastic surrealism, creates unreal worlds and perceptions of time and space. Another painter, Rainer Splitt, consistently creates masterful pours of pure clarity and beauty with a highly recognizable quality. Gerhard Richter creates vivid projection surfaces with his technique. These artists demonstrate very different qualities that are highly inspiring.
Siegmar has so far primarily exhibited his works in his home region of Germany. A three-month exhibition at the Niki de St. Phalle Promenade in Hanover attracted considerable international attention, as travelers from all over the world took the time to take in these works of art. Siegmar received overwhelming feedback.
A recurring thematic focus of his work is "the world itself." He is currently working on a series of images inspired by satellite images, which are created by depicting certain phenomena, such as chemical, biological, and climatic developments, using false colors. This is fascinating and inspires the viewer to reveal something of the uniqueness of our planet.
With his art, Siegmar aims to create profound rather than sensational “eye-catchers” that encourage us to explore the deeper dimensions of his works.
